Frequently Asked Questions

How is the Foundation Program coursework delivered?
  • All training resources are delivered through a secure online portal where you can access them 24 hours a day, from any device, so you can complete the Program at your convenience. There is no time limit to completing the course.
  • There are three learning Modules, where one Module prepares you for more advanced exercises in the next. You build momentum as the program progresses and your strength and flexibility will increase at just the right rate for you.
  • Each Module has a number of short and clear videos led by Kate Perkins who demonstrates each exercise as if you are in her clinic with her.
  • There is a comprehensive workbook with all exercises and background knowledge clearly explained, and printable PDFs to have the exercises on-hand.
  • Included are clear photos of each exercise for easy reference so you know you are always doing the exercises correctly, saving you from re-watching the videos (although you're welcome to do so!).
What equipment will I need?

If you have some wall space you are halfway there!

- It's handy to have 1kg and 2kg hand weights to start. To avoid risk of injury, make sure you begin with low weights to perform the exercises correctly*

- A foam roller*

- 55cm/65cm fit ball*

- A towel or yoga mat for comfort when performing the floor work

- An exercise bench for some of the weights exercises, however the floor and/or the back of a chair will do the job.

* Exercise modifications are included just in case you can't get your hands on these pieces of equipment.

What is a Medi Graduated Compression Garment?
Wearing a graduated compression garment, prescribed by a qualified lymphoedema practitioner, will help move the lymphatic fluid from an affected or at-risk arm to reduce the risk of developing BCRL (Lymphoedema) or prevent the condition from becoming worse. We highly recommend the use of one and have included a voucher in our Program to purchase one from Medi Australia.
Why is this an online course? Can't I just come to your clinic?
The clinic is booked out!

Kate enjoyed seeing the great results her clients were getting, even after just a few weeks, and especially loved seeing their confidence, energy and strength return so they could throw themselves into living the life many feared could have been cut short.

Her passion for helping these women has lead Kate to advance her training, and the word started to spread.

During Covid, Kate spent her time collating her knowledge and expertise into an online course so she could reach as many people as she could, all over the world.

How did you price the Program?
We made the total investment as affordable and with as many inclusions as we could, based on what it would normally cost to see Kate in the clinic plus ongoing consultations and education.

Kate and her team thought about what the client may be able to avoid after completing the Program, such as ongoing gym memberships and personal training sessions. These calculations added up to $2000, so considering that a Foundation Program customer has unlimited access to the coursework and exercises, we feel the investment reflects the value!

However, if at any time you're not 100% satisfied with the Program, we are always open to feedback and do offer a full refund (please refer to T&C's).
How can exercise support a healthy lymphatic system?
In order to thrive, our body needs a constant flow of fresh blood to reach the tissues and lymphatic capillaries. But since the lymphatics don't have a pump to help move the fluid through our bodies, they rely on arterial pulsation, intra-abdominal pressure, and muscular contraction. And this pulsing, contracting, and pressure changing occurs through movement and exercise.
I’ve completed the Foundation Program, what’s next?
Total body health is something that we preach in our clinic, and if you're looking to learn more about how to help your body through cancer and beyond, we highly recommended completing our Gut Health Masterclass, or book in for a personal consultation with Kate and the team (in person on the Central Coast, or online here).
What are Kate's credentials?
